This is a non-profit organization that was founded by Onyango George Omito and his wife Caroline Anyango, who is currently serving as the director along with their son Roycollins. The project operates within the community and is dedicated to supporting underprivileged street kids, both male and female, who live in the streets of Nairobi. The primary focus of the organization is to provide food, mainly bread and milk, as well as clothing, sandals, and soap to help sustain the children. The project initially started with only a few street kids, but it has now expanded to support 20 street families. This heart giving usually takes place after every 3 months which is equivalent to four times in a year.
Onyango Roycollins and Caroline Anyango established the Shaghala orphanage, which is a community-based project situated in Kisumu county. Its primary objective is to support orphans who have lost both parents or those who only have a mother. The organization ensures that they provide essential items to both boys and girls in need. Additionally, the organization hopes to enhance its shelter's quality, and they are actively seeking funds to help support this initiative in the current year. We have a strong commitment to taking care of our families and those living in our community. We kindly ask you to consider our goals and challenges, as they are crucial to our success. Currently, we have 30 orphans under our care, but if we can improve our shelter, we aim to increase this number to 50. We have confidence that with your support, we will be able to achieve our objectives.
The Shagala Organic Farm is a community-driven initiative established with the purpose of providing support to both the orphanage and the wider community. They grow their own crops such as vegetables and fruits, and also have a poultry farm on their premises. We welcome well-wishers and volunteers to our farm and orphanage to share the fate of Africa.
